Match Report
Harrow International School Bangkok Boys-U15A vs  International School Bangkok
On: Monday, 25 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

Harrow International School Bangkok played well, but failed to make the most of their possession on Monday night as they lost to International School Bangkok 15-10 and then drew 10-10 with Shrewsbury International School Bangkok.

Off the kick off Harrow picked up where they left off in their last outing with some fantastic defence leading to a turn over close to the ISB line. Tom then capitalised on this to score the opening try. Off the resulting kick off Harrow’s strong defence again forced ISB back to their own line and led to a further ISB error. However, Harrow failed to take advantage of this and having cleared the danger ISB began to move the ball into space, scoring their first try down the left wing.

Handling errors from Harrow handed ISB more opportunities to attack which they duly took, leading to a score of 15-5. In the closing stages Harrow scored a try courtesy of Gigi who’s strong running found a hole in the ISB defence leaving the scores at 15-10 and Harrow wondering what might have been had they kept hold of the ball.

In the second of their two games Harrow started brightly creating a number of opportunities. However, Harrow’s decision making let them down. With the scores at 0-0 at half time both teams had everything to play for. Following the break replacement Nick scored a well taken try down the left wing as he made a tackle, turned the ball over and drove his way to the line. Shrewsbury then tied the scores with a well taken break away try.

Following cries from the sideling for Harrow to be more direct Gigi scored what would have been the winning try to make it 10-5 with strong break through the middle. However, in the last play of the game Harrow conceded a penalty on the Shrewsbury line. Shrewsbury then moved the ball to the right wing and ran the length to score. Credit must go to Shrewsbury for their never say die attitude.

Another strong display for Harrow, with a lot of positives to take. Their next game sees them play Ruamrudee International School at home on Thursday.
