Harrow International School Bangkok 0-5 International School Bangkok

In their first outing of the season the Harrow Bangkok Junior Varsity team struggled to get to grips with a strong ISB side.

For much of the game ISB dictated the play through their midfield and only the heroics of Gunn in goal ensured the scoreline remained at 5.

Credit must go to ISB who took their opportunities well and moved the ball effectively from the centre of midfield to wide areas. Their closing down also put pressure on Harrow and led to costly defensive errors.

Despite the result there were some positive individual performances. James worked tirelessly up front, chasing down the ball at every opportunity. Troy made some important tackles early in the game and carried the ball out of defence well until a injury forced him off. Job was strong in the air and Gunn made a string of important saves. Ken and Pony also brought some much needed energy into the game when they came on.

While the result and performance was disappointing there is a lot to learn from the sides first outing. There is still a lot of football to be played and lots of opportunity to improve.
